STORYLINE IDEAS.
| storylines. ("i'm back!") LINE ONE/OPEN/ Based on I, Lucifer. Essentially, the devil gets a second chance to get back into heaven (yay!), and while he tries to act like he’s too cool for school, he obviously agrees to the deal for a reason. Which brings us to the reason, which is actually not for redemption at all. He gains use of a human body for a period of time and uses it as an escape from Hell to do whatever he wants. A vacation, basically. Character B, however, is the lover of the body Lucifer happens to receive, and is all the while trying quite desperately to ignore the fact that there’s a severe difference between the man he knew a week ago and the man he’s stuck with now. Note I would like to play Character B. This can go in any direction, no happy endings needed, and knowledge of the book is not required. ("dude looks like a lady?") LINE TWO/FILLED/A darker Bonnie and Clyde story, if you will. A couple, both bi-gendered, who start out innocently fooling around with switching around their genders quickly learn how easily they can fool people into believing they’re a different person each night. As they get to know each other, it becomes apparent that they’re a match made in hell, and they go from innocent fun to the 'next great serial killer couple' in a matter of months. The only problem is that between the two of them there are four identities, and it’s giving authorities a real headache. Note Possible PB suggestions for the couple are Omahyra Mota and Boyd Holbrook, since they inspired the line. I am open to either role. ("spirited away.") LINE THREE/OPEN/The spirit of a dead lover lingers around to help a detective solve a string of current murders similar to his own. The catch is that he can only communicate with the detective through his murderer, who was caught shortly after his death. Naturally, at first the detective is disbelieving of the idea, but when the jailed killer seems to have an unnatural knowledge of his personal life, he reluctantly concedes to the possibility that this might be happening. However, the killer states that he cannot work in the sort of environment that jail has to offer, and would prefer to 'feel more comfortable with his surroundings' before he really agrees to help, which halts progress for nearly a month. When the murders intensify, the necessary precautions are finally taken and the killer is quietly moved from prison into the detective's home. He's stuck under house arrest and constant surveillance, but it definitely beats jail. Can the three find a way to coexist long enough to catch the current murderer? Note In a way, there are three main characters, but I am willing to play both the spirit and the detective in the same line. It would be interesting to try this with three players, but it's not a requirement. ("countdown to life.") LINE FOUR/OPEN/ Loosely adapted from the novel Veronika Decide to Die, Character A is an attractive young man who could probably have virtually anything he wanted. Unfortunately, he becomes disenchanted with the world around him and decides to commit suicide. His plan backfires and he wakes up realizing he’s in a mental hospital. Character B is one of the patients he meets there, and with whom Character A develops feelings for, whether friendly or more,over time. Essentially, I would like to play the rediscovery of life these two characters find through each other, and keep the “you only have a week” to live experiment that happened in the book. The setting in negotiable, however, Character A could have not been hauled off to a mental hospital and instead goes to sessions where the same experiment is applied in a different way. Note I would like to play Character A. This can go in any direction, no happy endings needed, and knowledge of the book is not required. general ideas can be found here. |
